| Andries van Dam was born on the 20th of September 1923 and started his footballing career at |
| Celeritas in Den Haag in 1930. In 1948 he went to play for ADO where he played until 1952. |
| He was in sight of the Dutch team but unfortunately he broke his leg twice and never made it. This also |
| made him stop at ADO and he went back to Celeritas where he played football until he was 57 years old. |
